Amidst the sordid tale of cricket in vain, IPL declared its winner. While Chennai super emerged as the king in the battle, the showdown for the BCCI began. The president of BCCI was issued a show cause notice for alleged involvement in the financial fiddling or legal irregularities. As a show stopper, Lalit modi made IPL a grand success right with currencies flowing in. Every success has its formula. What was the formula of success for IPL? The governing authority of the IPL comprised of industrialists, former cricketers, lawyers, political figures and other influential people. Luminaries included known names such Arun jaitely, Rajiv Shukla, Farooque Abdullah, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and many more. With people of high such high repute; the control board had no control over the ethics of the business…so called Indian Premier League. A glimpse on the balance sheet of the game would have been enough to sort out irregularities. But either no one had time or they were contended with the share of profit they were entitled to.

The faux behind the game came to light only when the rhetoric Minister Shashi Tharoor made a comment in his blog. Once again tweeting gave rise to a tornado that had enough force to blow up the complete panel. But the board played on the safe side and made a suspension of the accused. The next meeting held in the evening will once again decide the fate of IPL. The committee is expected to come up with cleansing action and a secure plan that will reinforce the trust of the public in the game of the glamour. After all, cricket lovers of India are the biggest stakeholders in the game.
