Tony Blair met Dr. Manmohan Singh

Tony Blair the former British Prime Minister on Thursday met Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh during which the two leaders are understood to have discussed the issue of climate change besides bilateral matters.
Tony Blair said that the developed world is the origin of the problem but feels that big developing nations like India & China have equal responsibility to help salvage the situation.
Dr. Manmohan Singh has maintained that developed countries have to share most of the burden in addressing the problem. He has also been stressing on transfer of required technology from developed countries to the developing nations to fight climate change.
Tony Blair said, “It is absolutely true to say that this problem is created by the development of the western world. It has to involve the developing world also”.
