Thabo Mbeki will meet Robert Mugabe
Thabo Mbeki the president of South Africa will meet President Robert Mugabe in Harare on Saturday ahead of a summit of regional leaders in Zambia which the Zimbabwean ruler has said he will not attend.
A senior official of Zimbawe government said, “We are expecting President Mbeki to arrive this morning & to be meet the (Zimbabwean) President”.
Earlier, Secretary for Foreign Affairs Joey Bimha informed that Mugabe will skip the Saturday meeting on his country`s election crisis in Lusaka, Zambia. Bimha said that he & three Cabinet ministers will represent Zimbabwe instead.
Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai, who says he won Zimbabwe`s Presidential Election outright, arrived in Lusaka on Friday night.
