Feb 21st, 2008 | Category:World NewsThe Piet Dam a Former Dutch Rallycross ace & 1981 European Rallycross Championship runner-up, died on February 20 following a prolonged illness. Piet Dam was 61 years old. Piet was a very kind & humble character who never tried to put himself in the limelight.
Piet became well-known in the 1970s & 1980s as an ERC campaigner with well-prepared BMW 320s, especially for his progressive & successful BMW 320 Turbo 4×4 used from early 1984 till late 1986.
