Paul Humm won 2008 Tyson American Cup In Gymnastics

Paul Hamm & Nastia Liukin on Saturday (local time) became the champions of 2008 Tyson American Cup after their performances at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Paul finished with an overall score of 94.400 which was more than three points ahead of fellow American Sasha Artemev (91.150) & reigning world bronze medalist Hisashi Mizutori (90.950). Liukin finished who was struggling with an ankle injury, with a 63.425, edging Shawn Johnson, the 2007 Tyson American Cup Champion, who had an all-around score of 63.100. In 2003, Shawn Johnson became the first American man to win the all-round title at the world championships.

He competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, alongside his twin brother Morgan. He won the silver medal in the team event & was awarded gold in the individual all-around competition, becoming the only American man in Olympic history to win the gold medal in that event. He nearly won the Gold on the Horizontal bar but because of the tie breaker he was awared silver.
