In the midst of an ongoing crisis between the civilian government of and the military of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, the president has left for Dubai on Thursday.
The news of Zardari’s departure appeared on the news channels. According to the reports, Mr. Zardari is on a one day visit to attend a weeding. Other senior government officials will also be attending the wedding.
This is Pakistan president’s second trip to Dubai since the faceoff regarding memo-gate scandal started between the army and the civilian government. Zardari went to Dubai on 6th December for treatment and stayed there for about two weeks. The previous visit forced people to speculate that the president is under pressure to step down from the post. But after returning to Pakistan, Zardari cleared the air by saying that he has no intention to step down.
