Myron Cope died
Feb 29th, 2008 | Category:World NewsThe legendary Pittsburgh Steelers radio announcer Myron Cope, died on Wednesday morning local time at a Mount Lebanon nursing home following a long battle with various health problems. He was 79 years old.
Cope’s radio partner Bill Hillgrove said, “It’s always a sad day when a member of the Steeler family is gone & he was such an important member. I’m sure people feel like flying flags at half-staff. He was a source of so much fun & so many good times & of course, he was a personal friend of mine. I feel the loss, but he also makes me want to smile.”
