WASHINGTON: United States President Barack Obama issues order of sending more troops to Afghanistan. He communicated his decision to the military leaders Sunday afternoon in a meeting in the Oval Office. He will also be speaking with foreign leaders to share the new strategy.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said to the media, “The commander-in-chief has issued the orders.”
He, however, did not provide a precise figure for this new level of forces. Obama’s senior advisers said that President intends to commit about 30,000 more troops.
Mr. Gibbs said that Obama would discuss in the speech about how he is intending in paying for the plan, and he also mentioned further that Obama will make clear that he has an exit strategy. He added, “This is not an open-ended commitment.”
On Tuesday Obama will be meeting with Congressional leaders.
