A businessman of Japanese named as Kazuyoshi Miura has been arrested on Friday local time on suspicion of murdering his wife two years ago. Miura, 60 years old was arrested Friday in Saipan.

Kazuyoshi Miura & his wife Kazumi, who was 28 years old, were shot in a downtown Los Angeles parking lot in November 1981. He was hit in the right leg. She was shot in the head & died in a Japanese hospital a year later.

Miura caused an international furor when he blamed the attack on street robbers. He was acquitted of the crime in Japan. Police say Miura faces extradition to the United States.
