25th June, 2012, Mombasa (Kenya) — In Kenya, officials say that the death toll has risen to 3 in recent grenade attack. Kenya’s Red Cross said that the number deaths had gone up to three overnight. Around twenty-five people were injured. Another police official told a suspected assaulter is being treated at a nearby hospital.
On Monday, a police official told that police have already taken one person in custody for the gunfire and grenade attack that took place on the outside of a bar in Mombasa on Sunday. The police sources say that there were heavy gunfire and 3 explosions during the attack.
Kenya has experienced many grenade attacks since the time it sent its forces in October into Somalia to battle against al-Shabab militants.
