Along with most parts of Europe, Ukraine is seeing the coldest winter in the last 6 years. The lowest temperature has gone down to -33 degrees Celsius. The Emergencies ministry have also told that the death of 122 people have occurred in the last 8 days. 78 were noticed dead in the streets, 12 while getting medical treatments and 32 at their houses.
Most victims turned homeless while hundreds have been sent to hospital for the treatment of hypothermia and frostbite. The ministry told that 1600 people are being treatments.
Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, saw a heavy snowfall. Metro stations have turned into sanctuaries for homeless. Over 3000 heated tents arrange across the country.
