Bombs kill over 40 in Baghdad markets

Baghdad: Powerful bombs blasts in two busy Baghdad markets on Friday, in whicht 43 people killed and 85 people injured, officials said.
One bomb hidden in a cardboard box shattered through crowds in popular al-Ghazl pet market mid-morning while a bomb exploded soon afterwards in another crowded market in the city’s southeast al-Jadida. “At least 34 bodies had been received, we have a disaster here. There are too many bodies to count. Many of them are just pieces of flesh,”an official at AlKindi hospital said. “It had received at least six bodies and that 25 wounded people had been admitted”, Al-Nafis Hospital said to the sources.
The attack was the 2nd in months on the pet market, which opens only on Fridays and is always crowded. Last November 23, two bombs also hidden in boxes exploded simultaneously in the al-Ghazl market, which killed 13 people.
