The day 9/11 will always give birth to more questions than answers. Can you imagine of how to explain the day what happened on the morning of this day eight years ago? Was it mass murder or was it slaughter of innocent people in the name of religion?
Eight years ago on the sunny morning of September 11 terrorists slammed planes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon.
President Barak Obama called upon Americans to renew the common purpose with a day of service and remembrance of the 9/11 attacks. Today, during a memorial service at the Pentagone, Obama said, “Through their own lives and through you, the loved ones they left behind, the men and women who lost their lives eight years ago today leave a legacy that still shines brightly in the darkness and that calls on all of us to be strong and firm and united… That is our calling today and in all the Septembers still to come.”

Barak Obama and wife Michelle Obama along with some 200 members of the White House staff at 8:46 a.m. observed a moment of silence on the White House South Lawn. The north tower of the WTC was struck first by the plane at 8:46 a.m. on 9/11 2001.
Barak Obama is observing his first 9/11 day as president. In 2001 on this day Obama was a state senator in Illinois.
