5 injured in Israeli embassy attack in Mauritania: Witness

A witness told that a group of six men opened fire with automatic weapons on the Israeli embassy in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott, wounding five people including a “foreign woman” on Friday. “None of the embassy staff, Israeli or Mauritanian, had been hurt”, Ambassador Booz Bismuth said.
Ambassador Booz Bismuth said,”I confirm that shots were aimed at our embassy from the street, I confirm that no one was wounded among the embassy staff or among the Mauritanians”. According to witness Ali Fall “The building was empty at the time of the attack which took place shortly after 2:00 am (0200 GMT)”, Ambassador Booz Bismuth said.
