5 dead in strip mall shooting; gunman at large

Police said that a gunman who shot & killed five women in a clothing store at a suburban Chicago strip mall Saturday remains at large. Tinley Park police Sgt. T.J. Grady said that the motive for the shooting at the Lane Bryant store was a robbery that “at some point went rather poorly”. Grady said that all of the victims were found in a back room of the store. Their identities were not released. Grady said that a 911 call reporting the shooting came in at 10:44 a.m. Stores in the strip mall were thoroughly searched, he said, & “it appears the offender has left the area.”
