Washington, Feb.07- NASA scientists have stepped to open up a new dexterous humanoid robot for aerospace industry which can work alongside with humans and it will be a pioneering development in robotic technology.
The coming generation dexterous robot which is using the tools as humans will be known as Robonaut2 or R2. It can be work safely along with human. It will be a requirement both on earth and in space. R2 will be more advanced than the expected capacity of prior humanoid machines and these are faster and can work beyond the hope. R2 will be the next iteration of Robonaut.
Nasa Exploration Systems Mission Directorate associate administrator, Doug Cooke said “I’m very excited about the new opportunities for human and robotic exploration these versatile robots provide across a wide range of applications.”
Using leading edge control, sensor and vision technologies R2 can support astronauts during perilous space mission.
