9th June, 2012, New Delhi: Nokia, the Finnish mobile maker has strengthened their ‘Asha’ by summing 3 brand new full touch mobiles in an attempt to catch up with rivals companies, especially in rising markets like India.
The new three handset models are Asha 311, Asha 306 and Asha 305. The Asha series was first introduced in the market in October. Now, with the launch of these handsets, this series has ten devices which are available in over 130 markets.
It is expected that the price of Asha 305 will be around 63 euros and it will began shipping in the 2nd quarter of 2012. Other two handsets in the series, Asha 306 will cost about 68 euros and Asha 311 will be priced around 92 euros. The shipping of these two devices are expected to begin in the 3rd quarter of 2012.
Mary T McDowell, the Nokia Executive VP, told that by bringing in the Asha Touch phones, they are accelerating their commitment to link the next billion consumers. These handsets bear what young and urban people value most — a nice-looking handset; and an intuitive as well as affordable experience for linking to the internet.
