20th August. 2012, Seoul: After launching LG Optimus Vu in Japan and Korea, the company has now stated that the Optimus Vu handset will be available in select markets in Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Middle East starting in September.
The LG Optimus Vu, which weighs 168 grams, features a five inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The phone runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The smartphone will have an upgraded version of Notebook and QuickMemo.
For the worldwide roll – out, Optimus Vu will come with NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor which makes a perfect device for multitasking and gaming. It has an 8 mega pixel camera as well as a 1.3 megapixel front shooter for video calling purpose. The maximum storage capacity of the phone is 32 GB.
The new device falls in both phone and tablet category and is expected to vie with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2. According to reports, already 500000 units have been sold to Japan and Korea. The price of the device has not been revealed yet.
