Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has planned of launching its indigenously built satellite called ‘Ocean Sat’ on the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. This launch will take place in the month of July or August.

The Chairman of ISRO, G Madhavan Nair, said to the media today, “It will be a unique mission and the satellite would enable us to study the sea surface, wind and also track down the fishing zones.”
He also said that they are planning this mission by July end or in early August. The launch pad of the mission will be in Sriharikota.
Talking about Chandrayaan he said that it has completed its mission and it was a 100 per cent success. Chandrayan is India’s first moon-mission.
He further added that they have mapped the entire lunar surface. He also mentioned that no trace of water was found on the Moon’s surface. Nair earlier said that the country would be capable of developing its own ‘Capsule’ that will be capable of transporting human beings to space by 2015.
