24th July, 2012: Mobile handset maker HTC has stated that the HTC Desire HD will not get an update. The company is not doing so as they think the current operating system must deliver the ‘best experience’ to the users of this device.
Few days ago, it was reported that HTC was working on a software update of the device. But now HTC has officially tweaked the ICS update for the HTC Desire HD.
An official HTC blog says: “After extensive testing, we’ve determined that the current version of HTC Sense with Android provides customers with the best experience on the HTC Desire HD. When we consider new versions of software, we weigh a number of factors, but ultimately the customer experience on the product is the deciding factor. We apologize for any confusion this change may have caused our customers.”
