10th December, 2012, Howrah (West Bengal): On Sunday, Ambica Banerjee, the veteran TMC MP from Howrah, created a quiver after he was seen sharing the same stage with Congress’ Adhir Chowdhury, the junior union railway minister, at a railway event in Howrah station.
Ambica Banerjee is a 5 time MLA from Howrah and at present he is a MP. The veteran MP told that Adhir Chowdhury is a good person and he believes that the junior railway minister will work towards the development of the state. He also called his presence as his responsibility as well as political courtesy; unlike other TMC leaders who have shunned Adhir Chowdhury’s presence.
After the event, while speaking to reporters, Ambica Banerjee told that after getting an invitation, it was responsibility and political courtesy to be there at the event. As a public representative, it is his duty to help the railways in their works. He believes that that Adhir will work for the state’s people.
On the other hand, Congress’ Adhir Chowdhury told that there should not be any politics when it comes to development. He was happy to see Ambica Banerjee at the event. He added that land is still a problem which is affecting the railway projects, and he is even ready to meet chief minister to discuss the issue.
