Unlicensed Guns Seized In Erode, Four Arrested

Erode, Feb.01- Four caught by police for keeping unlicensed guns near a forest area in Erode. Six unlicensed guns are seized from them. They are suspected as animal pilfers.

During an intensive checking in the area by an anonymous information lead the police to the arrest, a policeman said. Police caught them while they are entering the forest area.

Regarding the information, many such unlicensed guns are flowing in the district. It is not made sure whether it connected to drugs mafia or Srilankan terrorists or any illegal social rivalry.

In Kadathur and Velllitiruppur areas of the district are under intensified patrol list. From Kadathur area, police found out one more unlicensed gun in the forest area and were searching for its owner. T.Jayachandran, District Superintendent of Police ordered for an intensified inspection to seize illegal weapons and to arrest those persons.
