Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that there is a need to rebuild the relationship between J&K and rest of India which has fallen prey to the two decades-old militancy.

Omar said this while participating at a seminar. He was replying to questions about the steps that is being taken by his government to promote tourism in the J&K.
He said, “I want to rebuild the relationship between Kashmir and rest of India, which has not been existent in the last 20 years.”
He added that he has been trying his best to promote adventure sports in J&K for both domestic and foreign tourists. He himself had gone to Gulmarg recently and enjoyed skiing there.
He said that many states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu enjoy locational advantages and hence they have been able to attract huge investments in different sectors.
He said that he wants the industrialists to visit the state and see the opportunities there themselves and decide on their own.
