Kumaraswamy Calls CBI Probe Of BJP Ruling About Illegal Possession; Begins Indefinite Fast Image

JD(S) leader, H D Kumaraswamy began an indefinite fast on Saturday pressing for a probe by the CBI into BJP’s ruling that the family members of the former Karnataka CM has amassed illegal wealth amounting to Rs 1500 crore. Kumaraswamy was accompanied by many JD(S) workers and Freedom Park has been chosen as the venue of the fast.

Speaking to journalists, Kumaraswamy said that the fast can be first of its kind in the state where a former CM has called for a CBI probe into the assets of his own family. He further said that the allegation targeted towards a former Indian PM (Kumaraswamy is the son of former PM Deve Gowda), former CM and a former state minister who have been in Indian politics for more than 50 years.

It is to be noted that last month the BJP had alleged that that the family of Kumaraswamy has illegal wealth amounting to Rs 1500 crore and had brought out a charge sheet in this regard.
