Following the cancellation of the Metallica concert resulting in huge anger among fans, police have arrested four people including
a senior executive of the event management company which was to organize the show. Rajesh Chandwani, operational head of DNA Network which was to organize the show was among the four people arrested on charges of violating trust and cheating people. Organizers had cited “technical difficulties” in hosting the show. Soon after the announcement, the crowd which gathered at Leisure Valley Park in Sector 29 of Gurgaon went out of control and started vandalizing equipment. Many were reported to be injured in stampede.
Meanwhile, organizers said that all tickets will be refunded saying that full page advertisement on refunds will be put in the next 24 hours. People started lining up at about 3 pm and in the next three hours people were asked to move back as the barrier was giving away. As soon as it was announced that the concert was cancelled angry fans went on a rampage and damaged equipment. Some of the fans hurled plastic water bottles on the stage. DNA Network sold 25,000 tickets of the show whose price ranged from Rs 1650 to Rs 2750.
