Police have foiled a major terror plot by recovering over 5 kilos of RDX and detonators from a car parked outside Ambala Cantt station. While the explosives have been sent for forensic test, a team of NSG from Delhi has been rushed to the spot. According to sources Delhi Police Special cell got a tip following which they cautioned the Haryana Police. Sources also added that since RDX was connected to any detonator or timer, it could have been used to carry terror attacks somewhere else in the country.
The Indica car from where the RDX has been recovered has been handed over to the Haryana police while the explosive is being brought to Delhi. Authorities are trying to find out the owner of the car which bears a Haryana registration number. Police however believes that the registration number can be fake. Following the event, security has been beefed up at Ambala railway station and all roads of the area have been closed temporarily.
