HYDRABAD, India: Sachin Tendulkar crossed another milestone in his dazzling career as the ball spins to touch the 17,000 runs.

Tendulkar fulfilled the formality today, heading in to a bat required just seven runs to pass the historical mark. The jam-packed Rajiv Gandhi Stadium punched the roof in delight as the ‘master blaster’ attained the highest run in the fifth ODI against Australia.
In the fourth ODI against the Kangarus, Sachin missed the target by just seven runs after getting sent home for 40 runs.
The 36-year-old Indian batting legend has hit 44 one-day hundreds and 91 ODI fifties.
Rated as the world’s best batsman after Australian legend Sir Donald Bradman, Tendulkar has an awe-inspiring Test record. In the whopping 159 matches that he has played so far. Tendulkar has scored 12,773 runs at an average of 54.58.
Sanath Jayasurya is second on the list with 13,377 runs in One-Day International cricket whereas Aussie captain Ricky Ponting far behind.
