Murray has been in an impressive form and he showed his class yet again in front of Karen Khachanov. Murray was seen paying tribute to the victims of London attack after his win. He won the game 6-3, 6-4 and 6-4. Andy Murray has been on the top spot for quite some time and everyone sees him as a contender to win the French Open this year. Murray said that large part Europe had been affected due to terrorist attacks in the past year. He was thankful to the crowd as they came out in large numbers to support him. In the game against Khachanov Murray was at his best and the crowd loved his attacking approach. The 53rd ranked player found it hard to move fast against Murray. The gap in their experience could be easily seen as Murray was in search of his 29th Grand Slam and Khachanov was playing for his first slam.
The percentages were played beautifully by Murray and he sent a wonderful return in the opening set. There were just two loose shots played by Murray and Khachanov exploited them cleverly. These two loose shots appeared after an hour of game’s play. Khachanov’s poor service cost him the game as he could not take a proper lead in any set. Murray did not leave any stone unturned and he easily took a 2-0 lead in the start of the third set. Murray said that though the conditions were difficult but still it was his best game overall.
