South Africa’s cricket team captain Graeme Smith won the toss & decided to bat first in the first Test match against India in Chennai at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Wednesday.
Experts believed that batting first on this track is a sensible decision because India have two spinners & the pitch turn later in the Test. Anil Kumble also said it would have been ideal to bat first but he’s hoping his new-ball bowlers will take early wickets.
Squads:
Virendra Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Jaffer, Saurav Ganguly, V.V.S Laxman, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Anil Kubmle, Rahul Dravid, Harbhajan Singh, R.P singh & Shreesanth.
South Africa: Neil McKenzie, Graeme Smith, Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis, Ashwell Prince, AB de Villiers, Mark Boucher, Morne Morkel, Paul Harris, Dale Steyn, Makhaya Ntini.
