In Lviv, Germany Beat Denmark 2 – 1 and secured the number one spot in the Group. Lukas Podolski, who played his 100th game donning the national colors, scored the first goal in the 19th minute. But, just after 6 minutes, Denmark equalized as Michael Krohn-Dehli beat Manuel Neuer. The first half ended with 0ne each. Both teams got some brilliant scoring chances but missed. Lars Bender scored the second for the mighty Germans in the 80th minute and secured Group – B’s top position.
In Kharkiv, The 2010 World Cup runner-up Netherlands were battered in the hands of Portugal as they lost it 2 – 1. Netherlands dominated the first few minutes and in the 10th minute Van der Vaart scored the goal for the orange brigade. But after that it was Portugal that dominated the game. Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored both the goals for Portugal in 28th and in 74th minute. Now, Netherlands leaves the Euro campaign without winning a single match.
Now, in the Quarter Finals, Portugal will face Czech Republic and Germany will go one on one with Greece.
