FINAL UPDATE: Australia won by 2-1

June 24 — Australia and Serbia in today’s match at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit will have everything to play because the doors are open for any team to qualify into the Last 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2010.

The fate of Australia relies on the result of the Group D other match between Ghana and Germany that is played simultaneously.

Even if Australia beats Serbia in today’s match, still the team will qualify only if Germany is defeated by Ghana.

On the other hand, Serbia only needs to win today’s match to go through the next round.
