For England, Carroll scored the first goal through a brilliant header in the 23rd minute. Sweden replied in the second half as Mellberg equalized in 49th minute and just after ten minutes he made it 2 – 1 for Sweden. In the 64th minute, Theo Walcott replaced James Milner and whipped the equalizer to make it 2 – 2. In 78th minute, Welback put a smile on the faces of England fans as he scored the third goal for England.
