Raciam charge has been droped
Jan 29th, 2008 | Category:Sports NewsIn the Harbhajan Test ban case hearing today, the racial charges have been dropped against the off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan Singh has been fined only 50% of the match fees to abusing a player rather than any racist occurrence under section 2.8 of the ICC code of conduct.
The hearing of Harbhajan Singh test ban case considering the racial charges against him began in the early hours on Tuesday as players from both the sides presented their version of the incident to the ICC appointed Justice Hanson. Among others, Sachin Tendulkar and Sreedhar from cricket team of India were also present to present Harbhajan’s side of the story to the authorities. Team India will go to the Melbourne tomorrow.
