Hyderabad turned upside down in IPL final

by Sunil Sonkar

Even the second season of the IPL was won by a team that had a fairytale run to the title.

Last year it was Rajasthan Royals that went from underdogs to champs and this time it was the turn of that team who could do nothing right last year. It was Deccan Chargers this time to pull off an amazing turnaround.

Deccan Chargers, also known as team Hyderabad, rose from rock bottom and shaken to pull off a sensational victory in the final at the Wanderers in South Africa. It helped in adding another chapter to the sweet irony of IPL Season 2008 wooden spoon holders.

Last year in the Indian Premier League number 7 and 8 teams were destined to make the final.

Yesterday, the season two of IPL ended in spectacular fashion. The IT city, Hyderabad, barely held off the other in a match that went down to the wire.
