Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso tried his best to overtake Hamilton but he was too fast to overtake. Button clinched the 3rd position took an advantage as Red Bull pit crew made a blunder when Mark Webber was taking his first pit stop. It was Button’s 7th podium in last 8 races.

This win may help Hamilton to turn around a difficult season.

After the race, Hamilton said “I feel fantastic….It was one of my best races. To hold off one of the best drivers in the world is very tough to do.”

Not a bad day for Force India as both of their drivers managed to finish within top ten. Sutil finished the race in 8th position whereas Paul di Rista finished in 9th place.
