Yuvraj, who is one of the most flamboyant cricketers in the world, was absent from the cricket scene as he was in the United States to treat a rare form of lung cancer. After completing his chemotherapy he came back to India in April. He began training at the NCA (National Cricket Academy) in Bangalore recently.

While speaking to the reporters, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, the chairman of selectors told that Yuvraj is fit and he fought his way back. It is good to see him back.

“He has been one of the most important members of the Indian team. With this combination, we have a great chance to win the World Twenty20” added Srikkanth.

A delighted Yuvi tweeted that it feels as if he is going to play for India for the first time. It is really a special day for him. He always thought in his heart that he would play for the country again and now he is ready to represent India once again.

In the group stage, India has been clubbed with Afghanistan and defending champ England. From each group, 2 teams will go to the Super 8 round.
