10th April, 2012, New Delhi: Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh who was in the United States for his cancer treatment returned to New Delhi on Monday. His mother Shabnam was there in the Indira Gandhi International Airport to receive his son.
He was greeted and cheered by his fans that were there to catch a glimpse of Yuvi. He was sporting a red T-shirt and Khaki pants; and his bald head was covered with a red cap. He came out of the back gate of the airport. The thirty year old showed a “V” sign as he made his way through the waiting fans and media. He took his Audi to reach his home in Gurgaon.
After reaching home, Yuvraj waved his hands from the balcony but did not spoke to reporters. His mother told the reporters that she is very happy that Yuvi is back. He fought this inning alone but the blessings of the whole country were always with him. Yuvi is fine. Now, Yuvraj just need to rest and no appointment with doctors for the next three months. She will be making some alo parathas for his son. She also added that his son is positive about the whole thing.
On Sunday, the man of the tournament from last year’s cricket World Cup, tweeted, “finally the day has come ! i am going home tomorrow ! cant wait , excited to see my friends and family ..see you india!! mera bharat mahan!” It was really and emotional home coming for him as he was in the US since January.
