6th July, 2012, Noida: Today, Indian opening batsman Virendra Sehwag told that M. S. Dhoni won the T20 as well as the 50 – over World Cup because he had a good team. He added that if you have a strong team, then it becomes easier to perform well just like the Aussies did few years ago. India won the most coveted cup in cricket because they had a strong team backed by the leadership of Dhoni.
Today, Sehwag came at Saba Karim-Genesis Pro-Cricket Centre’s inauguration. While commenting on Tendulkar’s decision to cop out from Sri Lanka tour, he told that the master blaster is now 39 and he has the right to choose the series he wants to play. It is not only him but the whole nation misses Tendulkar when he does not play. He expects that he will be available for the New Zealand test series.
The Indian opener said that right now he is fit and he is all set for the Sri Lanka tour that begins on 21st July. This tour would also help him in the preparation for T20 World Cup which will take place there.
