In todays match it seemed that whatever Kallis touches seems to be turning into gold. He made 66 runs in 55 balls. He and Manish Pandey did a good start and Robin Uthappa carried forward the momentum after Pandey was catch out on Harbhajan’s ball. Next, Uthappa and Virat Kohli fell in quick succession.

Bangalore tops the table after this convincing win. Man of the match award went to Jacques Kallis.

Rahul Dravid was awarded with Kamaal catch and maximum sixes award went to Manish Pandey.

Jacques Kallis said: Over the last couple of years we have worked really hard and it’s nice to know that the hard work pay off. The rest of the guys around me play well and help me play my natural game. We have a lot of good players yet to join the team and we have a long way to go. I will try and keep the Orange cap for as long as I can.

Sachin Tendulkar said: I thought we lost wickets at regular intervals and that put breaks on our accelerators. There were too many dot balls and we were 15-20 runs short. There is no need to panic at this moment and we need to trust our strengths and look at our weaknesses. Rayudu and Tiwary have been good. Pollard will fire at some point in time this tournament and he will meet the expectations.
