Karachi, March 10 — Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) put an end to the careers of former Pakistan cricket team captains Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan on Wednesday and has also imposed one-year ban on Shoaib Malik after the disastrous tour of Australia of the team.

In all the three cricket formats in Australia the team were whitewashed and the board had set up an inquiry committee in this matter to probe the reasons for the debacle. The committee was headed by headed by Wasim Bari.
The committee also recommended one-year ban of the former captain Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan.
The committee recommended that Younis and Yousuf should henceforth be never a part of the Pakistan cricket team in any format because of their bad influence on the team. The committee also said that Rana and Malik be banned for one-year each and fined 2 million rupees.
For six months the Akmal brothers and Afridi will be on probation. They have also been fined between Rs 2-3 million for indiscipline on the tour.
Self appointed committee by the Board President, biased decision based on wrong motives, wrong and contradictory statements by the board about the bans, no definitive proof what was the wrong doing by the players. No explanation of what the players actually did wrong. Moreover no public announcement of what the players actually did wrong.
Let me tell you legally the Board is bound to lose this case against the players and eventually they cannot save their own skin for which these bans have been issued. The Board was totally responsible for the loses, you cannot blame the foot soldiers for a defeat in strategy and bad decision to appoint the worst captain in the history of Pakistan-Mohammad Yosuf by the Board`s own bad decisions.
