10th July, 2012, London: In spite of saying good-bye to limited overs international cricket, Kevin Pietersen has hinted that he may return and play for England once again. Pietersen, who made himself available for Test cricket only, has also added that it would require a drastic change in national side’s long schedule to consider his come back to T20 international and one-day international cricket.
On Monday, a leading British tabloid reported that Kevin’s family members want him play in limited overs cricket. But Pietersen told that he did not miss playing limited overs cricket at all. He played a lot of cricket in previous 7 years, now what he needed was probably a break. Right now he is not sure that he would be playing in limited overs game or not; anything may happen.
Pietersen called him time from T20 and ODI cricket when the management denied his wish to continue playing T20 while saying ‘bye’ to ODI. That time, the management told that Kevin had to make himself available for both ODI and T20.
The squad for the T20 World Cup has not been announced, still he expects that there could be a compromise for that. He would like to play and defend England’s title as T20 champ.
