1st June, 2012, Gurgaon: On Thursday, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the skipper of the Indian cricket team backed the idea of India – Pakistan bilateral cricket series, but still he expressed his doubts regarding the scheduling of the games and questioned how these matches will fit in.
After the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, the relationship between these two countries touched a low and even bilateral series hit a low. Recently, BCCI invited Zaka Ashraf, the chief of PCB to watch the final of the IPL and during sidelines of the Indian Premier League; both cricket boards had talks to hold a bilateral series at the end of this year. With the inclusion of Pakistan teams in CLT20, things are much easy now.
The Indian skipper was also surprised by Kevin Pietersen’s decision to retire from limited overs cricket. Dhoni told that the decision is surprising. He also praised Kevin Pietersen and added that he had been a superb cricketer. He has always enjoyed his presence in the cricketing field as well as his batting. He just hopes that he continues to do well in test cricket.
While speaking about, Gautam Gambhir and his teams IPL win, he stated that Gautam is more expressive and aggressive compared to him.
