28^th July, 2012, New Delhi: Australia’s Big Bash runner up Perth Scorchers will take on the South Africa’s Twenty20 Challenge champions Titans will go one on one in the first match of this year’s Champions League T20 which is scheduled to take place in South Africa. On the same day, 13^th October, Kolkata Knight Riders, the winners of the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League will take on Delhi Daredevils.

The 4^th edition of the CL T20 will feature fourteen teams and there will be 29 matches to be played across four venues – Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Centurion.  The final match will happen on 28^th October at Wanderers in Johannesburg.

The group stage will start after the Qualifying Stage from 9^th October to 11^th October that will have six teams divided into two pools. One team, with the highest point, from each pool will go to the group stage.

N Srinivasan, the CL T20 Governing Council’s Chairman told that this is the 2^nd time that the CL T20 will be played in South Africa and they are really happy to announce the schedule. He believes that this edition will be more successful compared to the 2010 edition.
