Bangalore heads for Final beating Chennai

by Sunil Sonkar

In today’s Semi-Final match of Indian Premier League (IPL) Bangalore Royal Challengers crushed Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets at New Wanderers Stadium (South Africa). Bangalore will be taking on the Deccan Chargers in the IPL Season 2 final on Sunday.

Chasing 147 runs to win, Ross Taylor (17 not out) and Virat Kohli (24 not out) ensured the Bangalore Royal Challengers home in 18.5 overs only.

New player Manish Pandey (48) and Rahul Dravid (44) stole the thunder from the Chennai Super Kings and batted like mighty under the lights.

Manish Pandey became the first Indian to slam an IPL ton in their last match, missed his first fifty today in the Semi-Final when Shadab Jakati’s delivery found its way to the stumps. He smashed 7 fours in his magnificent innings.

Dravid also did well. He hammered six 4s in his 44-run stay. Muttiah Muralitharan got the prized wicket of Rahul Dravid.
