It is a new role playing for former Indian cricket skipper Mohammad Azharuddin. He is now in politics and will contest the forthcoming election. He said today to a press meet that politics is a “different ball game” and he needed people’s support to face this tough challenge.

He added that he expect more support than when he was playing for India. He says that it is a different field and he needs a lot of support of people now. He also added, “Unless, we get support from people, it would be really tough.”

Azharuddin joined Congress on February 19 and he wants to look forward from the bad experiences over allegations of match-fixing. In his own words, “I have good support and if there could have been something (over match-fixing), I don’t think you could have come in such big numbers.”

This former cricketer also said that he had got nothing to say on the issue (regarding match-fixing). He mentioned that he have no case against him. .He also said that he have filed a case against BCCI and he asserted adding that he was leaving behind that matter and was looking forward for a new innings.
