Five persons have been sentenced to life imprisonment by Ahmedabad court on Friday in Bijal Joshi rape case. However, the court acquitted seven others due to lack of evidence. Bijal Joshi, 24 years old, who was lured into the city’s Ashoka Hotel, was gangraped on the night of December 31, 2003 by her boyfriend Sajal Jain & his friends.

Amarnath yatra suspended due to heavy rains
The Amarnath Yatra has been suspended on Friday due to heavy rains near the cave shrine & along the route of the pilgrimage in South Kashmir Himalayas.
No new batch of pilgrims was allowed to move to the shrine in Anantnag district from Jammu in view of heavy rains, a private news agency reported.

Four Pakistani soldiers have been killed & three others injured when an army patrol was attacked by unidentified assailants in a thickly forested area along the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
