The Gurmat Siddhant Parcharak Sant Samaj & the Damdami Taksal has called for a bandh in Punjab & Haryana on July 23 demanding the arrest of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. At least 14 people have been killed & 12 others injured after a passenger bus was hit by landslides at Sukhidhang area of Chamawat district in Uttarakhand on Friday. The bus carrying 34 passengers was bound for New Delhi from Thal in the hilly Pithoragarh district when it was trapped in heavy landslide following rain.

Punjab Police has recovered six used bombs which were laying abandoned in the garbage. A senior official of Police has said that when employees of Municipal Corporation were on their routine job found six bomb shells from garbage.

The Punjab police has arrested two notorious drug smugglers, believed to have political connections, & recovered 6 kg of opium from them in Amritsar.
