10 years old Sanjeev burnt to death in Alipur
Five drunk members of a marriage party burnt a 10 years old boy to death in Alipur village on the outskirts of the capital on Thursday night. The burnt body of Sanjeev was found one km inside an agricultural village in Alipur on yesterday.
Though police said it was not yet clear as to what led to the murder, locals claim the boy, who was riding a bicycle, was hit by the vehicle of a marriage party travelling to Alipur village ….

Four passengers thrown out from running train
Four passengers on Thursday were allegedly thrown from a running train near Jalgaon. The incident took place near Pachora station in Jalgaon when as many as four passengers were thrown from the Goa Express train.
Two of them died & 1 critically injured in this incident. The whereabouts of one other are still unknown.
Three serial bomb blasts in Assam
Three bomb blasts occured in Udalguri district of Assam on Wednesday night, in which 1 killed & 19 injured. New marrige act passed in Punjab
Punjab government on Wednesday passed the Compulsory Registration of Marriages Bill act. The Bill which was presented by justice minister Upinderjit Kaur, is also intended for compliance with directions of Supreme Court which were delivered in the Seema versus Ashwani Kumar case, 2005, seeking adoption of Compulsory Registration of Marriages Act in all states.

A militant was shot dead on Monday by security forces during a gunbattle with the security forces in Baramulla district.
An official said that the gunbattle ensued during a search operation carried out jointly by police and army at Rampur-Sopore village, 60 kms from here.
Bus rammed in to tree, killed 10
A private bus on Monday rammed into a tree & then overturned in which ten people killed & fourty injured. 10 people, including five women, were killed when the Gurdaspur-Batala bus turned turtle near Bidhipur village railway crossing.
A three years old child escaped unhurt while 15 of the injured, five of them serious, were admitted to a local hospital. Police is investigating the matter.
Bomb Blast killed 2 in Assam
ULFA militants exploded two bombs in Tinsukia & Dibrugarh districts in which two killed & five injured. A rickshaw-puller was killed when the powerful bomb exploded near a hotel at Daily Bazaar area in Doomdooma town of Tinsukia district.
The injured have been shifted to the hospital. Police is investigating the matter.

Six Hizbul Mujahideen militants were arrested on Monday by security forces from Pattan area of Baramulla district. An official said that the militants were arrested from different parts of Pattan area on Monday night. Punsup DM Amarjeet Singh Saini committed suicide
Amarjeet Singh Saini the district manager of Punsup died after committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan at his rented house in Prem Nagar in KApurthala. He was 48 years old. Saini has left a suicide note.

The Government has warned the Delhi & Mumbai Police of possible terrorists attacks at important locations in the cities. In a letter to the Delhi Police, the Home Ministry said that terrorists could target important places such as the CBI headquarters or the IIT campus in the near future.

Four Congress members dismissed in Punjab

Abu Salem an underworld Don went on a hunger strike at Arthur Road jail from Thursday. The Bakery Products Association Maharashtra on Wednesday has demanded the police protection for the bakeries in the district following attacks from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists.
