Notice issued against Amitabh bachchan for paying less stamp duty

The district authorities in Barabanki issued a notice aginst the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bchchan on Monday accusing him of undervaluing the stamp duty on a plot of land he bought in Barabanki. Additional District Magistrate (Finance) of Barabanki issued the notice to Amitabh Bachchan through his local lawyer Pradeep Roy & fixed May five for a reply.

Air India bus killed 1 at Mumbai airport

A man has been died at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport after being hit by an Air India bus.
The incident occured at 1:30 am on Sunday.
The driver of the bus has been arrested. The loader was hit by the bus of Air India & died at the spot.
The loader is identified as Gyansehwar.

Motorcycle-borne assailants attacked on North Indians on Friday late night. They attacked on Taxi Drivers in Varley & Lower Prail. They also damaged 5 taxis The accused were on bikes. Police has arrested 4 person in this case.

Forest land areas residents got relief

The government of Mumbai, put in an awkward situation by the Bombay high court’s landmark order on conservation of private forest land, has come up with a face-saving formula which it will submit to the Supreme Court. It proposes to ask the court to waive two of the three conditions imposed on anyone indulging in non-forest activity (like construction) on forest lands in violation of the Forest Conservation Act.

Construction on Mulund, Borivli & Bhandup areas illegal

Bombay High Court on Monday declared construction on 120 acres of land in Mumbai illegal. It could affect 1.5 lakh families. The High court said the construction, which had been carried out in Mulund, Borivli & Bhandup areas, was illegal as it had been done on forest land.
The land in question was earlier notified as private forest land, but the state government later renotified it as government forest land.

Teenager arrested for sending threatning email of blast

A has been arrested for sending an e-mail threatening to blow up a suburban railway station in Mumbai. A 16-year-old student from Ahmedabad was held for sending threatning email of blast in train in Andheri on 18 March.
An official of Police said on Monday, “We narrowed down on the address from where the mail was sent by tracking the Internet Protocol (IP) address & arrested the boy on March 22″.

Blast in local train in Mumbai

A minor blast occured in local train in Mumbai on Saturday in which three persons were injured.
The explosion occurred at 12.55 pm in central Mumbai’s Sion station.
Railway Police Commissioner A K Sharma said the cause of the explosion has not been known as yet. The injured have been shifted to nearby Lokmanya Tilak Memorial Hospital.

Four passengers thrown out from running train

Four passengers on Thursday were allegedly thrown from a running train near Jalgaon. The incident took place near Pachora station in Jalgaon when as many as four passengers were thrown from the Goa Express train.
Two of them died & 1 critically injured in this incident. The whereabouts of one other are still unknown.

High alert in Mumbai & Delhi

The Government has warned the Delhi & Mumbai Police of possible terrorists attacks at important locations in the cities. In a letter to the Delhi Police, the Home Ministry said that terrorists could target important places such as the CBI headquarters or the IIT campus in the near future.

The Bakery Products Association Maharashtra on Wednesday has demanded the police protection for the bakeries in the district following attacks from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists.
