5 killed, 12 injured in blast at Batamaloo bus stand in Srinagar
At least five people have been killed & more than 15 injured after a grenade blast at the busy Batamaloo bus stand in Srinagar on Thursday. Unidentified persons hurled a grenade on a Jammu-bound bus at the bus stand located in the periphery of Lal Chowk in afternoon.
The injured were immediately admitted to the nearby hospital. The grenade was hurled when the group of labourers from other states were boarding a bus to Jammu on way to their native places.

Amarnath Yatra has been called off from Jammu in view of the continued strike in Kashmir valley over transfer of forest land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. The devotees were not allowed to proceed from Bhagwati Nagar base camp to the Amarnath cave shrine of Lord Shiva in the Kashmir Himalayas.

Amarnath yatra suspended due to heavy rains
The Amarnath Yatra has been suspended on Friday due to heavy rains near the cave shrine & along the route of the pilgrimage in South Kashmir Himalayas.
No new batch of pilgrims was allowed to move to the shrine in Anantnag district from Jammu in view of heavy rains, a private news agency reported.
The road from Pahalgam to cave & Baltal to cave has become slippery in view of the rain. The two-month-long yatra was started on June 18.

Militants have on Sunday fired a rifle grenade at the Civil Secretariat of Jammu & Kashmir, wounding two persons including a CRPF constable. Police has on Friday arrested four criminals in Jammu. On a tip off, police intercepted a Tata Safari vehicle on Jammu-Pahtankote highway at Bari Brahamana & arrested four of its occupants.

Two militants killed in Jammu & Kashmir in a gun battle
Two militants have been killed in a gun battle with soldiers in a village in Baramulla district of Jammu & Kashmir on Monday. A defence spokesperson has said that the soldiers troops of the 32 Rashtriya Rifles surrounded Watergam village, about 65 km from Srinagar, following a tip off.
While the soldiers were searching the village, the hiding militants opened fire at the troops. The soldiers returned fire in which two militants were killed.

Nine Bangladeshis have been arrested in Samba sector in Jammu on Friday when they were trying exfiltrate to Pakistan.
Security forces observed some movement near the International Border in Gole Panj Pir border out post & asked a group of exfiltrating persons to stop. They were later caught & identified as Bangladeshis.
